Tired Hands

As we prepare to leave next summer, there are so many things on our minds and to-do lists! Luckily, the task of setting up this blog is behind us! But, probably the biggest and most important task ahead of us is building a team of people who will rally around us in prayer and partner with us during this time. I can’t help but be reminded of Moses and the physical support he received from his right hand men as he battled against the enemy of the Lord.

” Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword” (Exodus 17:11-13).

We are excited as we embark on this new, adventurous season of our lives. However, we know that our arms will soon grow weary. While the fate of the entire Israelite army is not in our hands, we still want to do the Lord’s work the best way we know how. And for us, that means relying on the Body of Christ to come alongside and lift us up when we need it. We will not be able to stand alone. We wouldn’t even want to try. So, if you feel like praying is something you can do, something you want to do, let us know.
